More than a century ago there was no concept of sew motor in the sewing industry, as each and every laborer used to work on the mechanical swing machines which were run on man power. A person either has to use his hands or feet to operate the sewing machine and this thing carried on for number of years. All the big cloth manufacturing industry of that time employees thousands of laborers to sew a bulk of cloth due to the fact that they want to increase the productivity in cloth manufacturing however the workers were not able to concentrate that much due to the fact that they got tired or exhausted much sooner, as they have to operate these sewing machines by their own energy hence resulting in a lesser production of work by each employee, this continues to happen till the arrival of sew motors.
As soon as the sew motors arrived in the market they dynamically changed this industry, as all such sewing machines were upgraded by the sew motors to increase the efficiency and productivity of their laborers, and hence it actually did, and this thing helped such cloth manufacturers to earn maximum amount of profit within a limited time frame, as they can produce the cloth twice or even thrice as much faster as they did before.
At that time Treadle was used as the main industrial sewing machine which comprises of rocker foots or frame and they operate as soon as the user starts to rock his legs on that frame. They come in either single or twin foot rockers, and the machine is usually mounted on a wooden / iron table and is just the size of a Big School Desk. The machine inside Treadle works totally on mechanical power, later on they were attached with the sew motors but they still kept the same stand size, only slight modifications were made in its structure and this was only because the sew motor was added in the Treadle which helped to increase the cloth production dynamically.
